Get to know the CIO Studio Team

We're kicking off Team Spotlights, where every month we'll profile a member of the CIO Studio team. We will chat about what digital means to them and also ask a few more personal questions to understand the people behind CIO Studio.

I sat down (virtually) with Angela Whittle, Core Advisor, as she is part of the original founding team.

One of her best attributes is her ability to maintain that "big picture" view of a situation or project, which must be her secret to always seeming so calm and thinking innovatively.

What is your role with CIO Studio?

Core Advisor

What do you do on a daily basis with CIO Studio?

Every day is different, which is great. I could be interviewing a client about specific requirements or analysing data.

Why do you like working with CIO Studio?

I love being part of a group of senior IT geeks with the same mission and values around helping businesses with tech.

What excites you most about your role?

The variety of organisations I get to work with and the people who make the work a pleasure

What does the word “digital” mean to you?

Allowing people to add value to an organisation by removing mundane or repetitive tasks and giving them one version of the truth in a modern, secure system.

What’s the opportunity – where do you see digital taking us in the next 3-5 years?

The incredible work being done in the Medical Device industry continues to amaze me.

How do you stay up-to-date with all the changing tech?

I have a membership in IT Professionals NZ, keep up to date with Health Informatics NZ and Linkedin, and attend PMINZ or Women on Boards tech-specific events.

OK, the big question... Teams, Zoom or Google Meet?

Teams! Moving on to a few personal questions...

When you’re not leading digital tech, where can we find you?

Doing any kind of DIY I can get my hands on - sanding, painting, landscaping etc., or walking Coco!

What was the last holiday you took?

I went across the ditch to Alexandra Headland, Sunshine Coast, QLD.

Where would we find you on a sunny Saturday afternoon?

At the beach with Coco and the kids

One last question... Coffee or Tea?

Tea
